This is a tool that converts AutoCAD drawing in DWG and DXF into PDF documents.
AutoCAD Converter is a converter tool that can convert AutoCAD native drawing formats (both DWG and DXF) into the PDF document format. It is a batch converter and thus will let you convert a bunch of drawings at a time. The converter is a standalone one and does not need either an AutoCAD copy or an Acrobat tool sitting in your machine; either of which is expensive. The drawings get converted into vector PDF drawings. There has been several releases of the AutoCAD drawing formats so far and this tool is able to handle all of these. These include R2.5/2.6, R9, R10, R12, R13, R14, R2000/2002, R2004/2005/2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 formats.
The interface makes it very simple to use. The main display area is for making the batch list. You could add a file or a folder. But, what is really useful is that you can ask the tool to include all the sub folders into the list with a single click. You can choose the output directory if you want anything other than the default location. PDF book marks can be created. This kind of conversion, often, becomes necessary when you need to send the drawings to a partner/collaborator who has not invested in an AutoCAD seat. Settings will take care of the PDF metadata and security controls. If you have a need for this kind of conversions frequently, this is a good tool for the job.
